Learn about politics, while playing a game. ‘Meet the Candidates’ is a card game created for the New Zealand 2023 general election. This is a 2 player game aimed at ages 16+. The 85 card deck contains 45 candidates 5 of the major political parties; The Labour Party, The National Party, The Act Party, The Green Party and Te Pāti Māori. You will also find policy and power cards filled with current issues and iconic moments in New Zealand politics. You can see the full set of cards on the ‘Meet the Candidates’ tab of this website.
The game comes with 2x D20 dice and an instruction booklet.
*The game is intended to be informative, but not to sway political views. There is however a slight left lean to the way the cards are written. Feedback from perspectives from both left and right leaning voters was taken into account during the editing process.
